Inspired Artist: First Blog Post
Go to ThisIsColossal.com and find an artist you are inspired by. You can pick any artist from any page on this site. (Try clicking random!) You might need to do some online research on this artist. Your post should include: (at least 1 paragraph)
- 2 or more pictures of the artist's work (15 pts each)
- about the artist (name, location, material they work with, history, anything else you find of interest) (30 pts)
- If they have their own site (link it!)
- What makes their work inspiring to you? What about it draws you in? Please elaborate in detail. (40 pts)

SCULPTURE UNIT
In Process Blog Post:
- Photo of piece unfinished
- What do you plan to do with your piece? How do you plan to finish it? (3 sentences minimum)
- What things have you found difficult so far? How were they difficult?
- What do you find successful so far?
- Explain your process up to this point. Use vocabulary: slab, scratch and slip, greenware, bisque, fire. (3 sentence minimum)
- 2 different angle photos with black or white backdrop
- 1 detail shot
- Since completing the in-process blog post what has been your process since? Use vocabulary: glaze, paint, glazeware, finish, and fire.
- What do you find successful about the finished piece?
- What would you have changed if you were to do it again?

Perspective and watercolor pieces both take planning. This project will focus on how to create a piece that looks like it has depth, showing a 3 dimensional form on a 2 dimensional plane.

It is cleaning & organizing the room for 20 mins. It can be done before school, during lunch, after school, or during your exam time. You may do it during class ONLY IF all of your art is completed AND your blog is updated including the exam. If you think you are missing something, check with your teacher.
